Tahoma
The strip of neighborhoods between Homewood and Meeks Bay include Tahoma, McKinney Estates, McKinney Shores, Chamberlands, Chambers Landing, Kai-lua Park and Westlake Village. Summertime activities such as boating, hiking, and picnicking are popular in this primarily vacation-oriented community.
One of the primary attractions in the area is Chambers Landing, the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe. Known for its pristine views of Lake Tahoe and its access by boat from the lake, Chamber’s Landing is one of Lake Tahoe’s favorite summer family hotspots.
Tahoma properties are a mix of older summer cabins and single family homes that are popular with local residents. Close to Sugar Pine Park and Bliss State Park this area has much to offer in the way of recreation and accessibility. The Water’s Edge Condos have access to the beach and pier.
McKinney Estates is a highly secluded, sunny, level and quiet area. It is one of the most pristine areas on the West Shore within walking distance to the Chambers beach, pier and restaurant.
